Sodas Purity to Quigley

Purity Bottling Co.-
The Purity Bottling Co. was in Pawtucket, RI. It was at 8 Jackson St. Pawtucket from 1920-27. Abraham Kaufman was the owner. It was called the Purity Bottling Works in 1925, and was at the same address.
It was not listed in 1920. It became the Standard Bottling Co. in 1927.

Quaker Club Co.-
The Quaker Club Co. brand was started by the Levin Bros. It was at 47 Burnside St. and 141 Potter Ave. in 1914. It was at 47 Burnside St. from 1915-1935. Morris J. Levin was the manager in 1914-1921. He died June 1921. They were bottling lemon lime soda in 1922. Louis I. Levin was the owner in 1922-1934. Louis & Benjamin Levin were the owners in 1927-1932. Louis, Benjamin, & S.P. Levin were the owners in 1933-34. In 1935-36 the McLaughlin Bottling Works were at 47 Burnside St. Joseph B. McLaughlin was the owner. In 1938 the Puritan Beverage Co. was at 47 Burnside St. Julius Moskol was the owner. In 1940 the Hope Club Beverage Co. was at 47 Burnside St.

Quality Bottling Co.-
The Quality Bottling Co. was located in Woonsocket. It was at 539 E. School St. in 1935. They were seltzer water bottlers. Arthur Mills was the owner. They were listed again at 325 Burnside Ave. in 1939-1940. In 1940-42 it was at 548 Bernon St. Arthur was listed as a chauffeur in late 1942.

Quality Bottling Works-
The Quality Bottling Works was located in Central Falls. It was at 420 Central St. from 1920-27. Leo Heller was the proprietor. Leo Heller & Goldberg were the owners in 1927-28. It was succeeded by the Somerset Bottling Co.

William Quigley-
William Quigley (d. 1932) was a liquor dealer in Newport. He was first listed with a liquor license in 1897. He was at 83 Long Wharf in 1898. He was at 3 & 5 Bulls Wharf in 1900. He was at 10 Market Sq. in 1909. The address was 8 Market Sq. from 1910-12. It changed to 6 Market Sq. in 1913-14. He was last listed at 140 Long Wharf from 1916-18. He died in Feb. 1932.
