John F. Cunningham-
John F. Cunningham was a liquor dealer
in Woonsocket. He emigrated from Ireland circa 1852. In 1869 he
established a liquor business in Woonsocket. He was listed in 1875.
He was at 11-14 Monument Sq. in 1880-81. He was at 154 Main St. and
13 Monument Sq., cor. Blackstone in 1884. He was at 10-13 Monument
St. in 1886. He was also at 1 Blackstone St. in 1887. He was listed
as owning a saloon in 1889. In 1892 he was listed as a wholesale
dealer in brandies, gins, wines etc. He was at 10, 11,12 , 13
Monument Sq. and 1 Blackstone St. in 1892. He was at 11, 12, 13
Monument St. and 24 Blackstone St. in 1895. His wholesale business
was at the Monument Sq. address, and his retail one at the Blackstone
address. He was at 13 & 15 Monument, 2 Blackstone in 1898. It changed to 2 and 18
Blackstone in 1899. From 1898-1901 he was at the same location on
Monument St., but changed to 18 Blackstone St. He was listed at 13
Monument Sq. in 1902-04. 1906, 1907, and 09 factory inspections
graded the company as good with 8 employees. He was graded as good with 7 employees in 1910. He was at 11
and 13 Monument Sq., 2 Blackstone in 1911. He was at 13 Monument Sq.
and 4 Blackstone St. in 1912-16. In 1914 an Edward F. Cunningham was
listed. A 1916, 18 factory inspection graded the company as
excellent with 8 employees. Some of the bottles spell Cunningham as
Cunninghan by accident.

William F.(?) Dame (1858-1921?) was a
bottler in Woonsocket. He was first listed in 1880. He was at 15
River St. He was at 3 Bridge St. in 1881-84. He was last listed in
1884. That year he was advertising soda, tonic beer, ginger ale, and
lager beer. In 1892 he was a building mover and mover of safes and
boilers at 109 Bridge St.

Edwin J. Dean-
Edwin J. Dean was the successor to
Ransford H. Harvey in 1887. In 1887-1890 he was at 315 Fountain St.
His business was called the Rhode Island Bottling Establishment. He
bottled soda and mineral waters. In 1889 he was advertising a “new
beverage” called wine cream. He was at 92 Atwells Ave. in 1891.
He was at 126 Atwells Ave. in 1892-96. In 1895-97 the Cold Vapor
Distilled Mineral Water Co. was at this address. He was the manager
of this company. He was at 75 Atwood Ave. with no occupation in
1898. He was at 75 Atwood Ave. in 1899-1900. He was only listed at
his house in 1901.

Deep Rock Water Co.-
The Deep Rock water Co. was in West
Barrington, RI. Clifford Wilson was listed as bottling spring water
in 1919. The Deep Rock Spring was listed in 1922-25, but not in
1920. It was on Washington Rd. Nayatt, RI. In the 1927 Barrington
directory it was listed as the Deep Rock Farm. Clifford Morris
Wilson (1879-1971) was the proprietor. He was previously an
electrician (in 1918). Alice J. Wilson was listed as the owner in
1928. In 1930 it was called the Deep Rock Farm Water Co. In 1930-35
it was called Deep Rock Inc. In 1938 Clifford was still the
proprietor and Alice J. Wilson was the treasurer. It was called the
Deep Rock Spring Water Co. in 1936-1944. In the 1930s they had a
partnership with the Citrus Products Co., and were bottling Kist,
Chocolate Soldier, and Blue Bird Beverages. Peter Piccirilli was the
vice president and manager in 1943. By 1947 the 7-Up Bottling Co.
was also at this location. Clifford M. Wilson was still the owner in
1953. The company had 21 employees at the time. It was still on
Washington Rd. in 1963. That year the Tru-Ade Bottling Co. was also
at that location. Peter Picerelli was the proprietor. All three
companies were there in 1966. In 1969 only Seven Up was listed
there, but Deep Rock was still owned by Mary Picerelli. In 1969 only
Deep Rock was listed. In 1976-1980 it was at 376 Washington Rd.
Robert F. Killian was the president. In 1984 an article stated that
the “Deep Rock Corp.” was moving to Warwick. They were last
listed in 1993.

Pawtucket, RI. He was in Central Falls in 1900. He was at 568 Broad
St. Central Falls in 1900-04. He was at 735 Broadway Pawtucket in
1905-1920.
