Angelo DiFiore-
Angelo DiFiore was a liquor dealer in
Natick, RI. Born in 1868, he immigrated from Italy in 1895. He
helped found the Rossini Italo Ameican Comic Club in 1903. He was
listed as a liquor dealer in 1902-04. He helped found the Rhode
Island Publishing Co. in 1918. He also helped found the Italian
Liberty Club of Pontiac in 1919. His liquor business was located on
Pontiac St. First spelled DiFiore in 1914. He was still listed in
1920.

Thomas F. Donahue Co.-
Thomas Donahue was listed as a clerk at
45 Dyer St. in 1889. He was a clerk at 2 Pine St. in 1899. The T.F.
Donahue Co. was first listed in 1900. In 1902 Thomas F. Donahue,
Mary H. Donahue, Bernard Donahue, and Thomas H. McGovern created the
T.F. Donahue Co. They imported and sold wholesale and retail liquors
and other goods. They were located at 2 Pine St. Providence from
1900-04. Possibly 62 Exchange St.? They were at 117 Dyer St. in
1905-1912. They became the T.F. Donahue Co. Inc. in 1908. A 1910
factory inspection graded the company as good with 10 employees. A
1912 factory inspection graded them as good with 9 employees. A 1916
factory inspection graded the company as very good with 7 employees.
In 1919 they were graded as very good with 6 employees. A 1920
inspection listed them as closed. It did say they were dealers in
groceries, wines, and liquors. They were at 117 Dyer St. and 34 Hay
St. in 1915-19. They were only at 117 Dyer St. in 1920. In 1921
Thomas was a junior agent for the IRS.

The Douglas Ave. Bottling Co. was
located in Providence. It was created by Terrence P. Oates (prop.
1905-1916). It was first listed in 1905. It was at 775 Douglas Ave.
in 1913. It was at 1195 Douglas Ave. in 1918-1931, in the Geneva
section of North Providence.

William H. Doyle-
A Phillip A. Doyle was at 135 Canal St.
cor. Otis in 1880-85. William H. Doyle (d. 1931?) was a bookkeeper
in 1888-1890. He was listed as a liquor dealer at Broad St. cor.
Dorrance St. in 1890. In 1891 he was listed as an importer, jobber,
and wholesale liquor dealer at 271 Canal St. He was at 271 Canal St.
from 1892-1900. He was dealing in liquors. In 1897 the company was
called the Wm. H. Doyle Co. He was no longer listed as a bottler in
1901. A William E. Doyle started dealing in liquors at 751 Eddy St.
in 1901. In 1920 William H. Doyle’s residence at 32 South Angell
St. was listed. This might have been someone else.

Edward J. Dybala-
Edward J. Dybala (1920-2004) was a
bottler in Cranston, RI. He became the owner of the National
Bottling Co. at 8 Byron St. in 1952. He also bottled Cotton Club
soda. In 1954-57 the Dybala Bottling Co. was at 275 Niantic Ave. in
Arlington. By 1959 it was known as the E.J. Dybala Bottling Works.
They were listed until 1967. The Hope Club Beverage Co. succeeded
them in 1970.
