John Harvey was mentioned in 1856-1858. His company J. Harvey & Co. was located at 65-1/2
Canal St.
James G. Harvey was dealing yeast with Ira in
1859-1863. James was Ira's son, so he is the most likely candidate.
This is an incredibly enigmatic company to research. I have not been able to find a single reference to J. Harvey & Co. or the Canal St. address embossed on the bottles. All I know for certain is that they were in business in and around 1857.
