dealer in Nasonville, RI. He also ran the Western Hotel (1882). He
was listed in Mohegan in 1887. He was at Main St. and Pascoag Rd. in
Nasonville in 1892-94. He was first listed as a bottler in
Nasonville in 1893. He was the proprietor of the Western Hotel at
the time, and was advertising liquors, sarsaparilla, soda, and ginger
ale. McManus & Meade appear to have succeeded him in 1896.

Newport. Established in 1889. He was listed in 1891. Bottler in
1892-95. In 1894 sole agent for Feigenspan’s Export lager of
Newark, NJ. He was at 3 & 5 Bull’s Wharf from 1892-98.

John J. Maguire-
John J. Maguire (1850-1925) was a
liquor dealer in Providence. He started working with his brother
Michael as the Maguire Bros. In 1876 they were at 3 Bergen St. They
were at 82 Brook St. from 1880-86. In 1889 they were at 32 Brook St.
John left the Maguire Brothers in 1891 and moved to his own
location. He was at 190, 192 Wickenden St. in 1892. He was at 120
Wickenden St. in 1893. He was also listed in East Providence that
year. He was at 188-192 Wickenden in 1894-95. A Providence
directory has him at 232 Wickenden St. and 560 So. Main St. in
1895-96. He was a wholesale liquor dealer at the time. He was at
232-236 Wickenden St. from 1896-98. He was at 234-236 Wickenden St.
in 1897. In 1898-1900 he was at 236 Wickenden St. and 125 Dyer Ave.
The Dyer Ave. address was his wholesale location. He had a number of
branch locations, many which were likely saloons in the 1890s. He
was at 236 Wickenden St. in 1901-1916. He was also at 527 Eddy St.
in 1905. It was & Co. in 1898. He was at 234 Wickenden St. in
1920.
