Charles Maul-
Charles Maul was a bottler or liquor
dealer in Newport. Mueller & Maul ran a saloon in 1876-77. No 1879. Due to an incomplete run of Newport business directories, I have been unable to find out much information on this bottler.

James McArdle Jr.-
James McArdle Jr. was a liquor dealer
in Narragansett Pier, RI. He was first listed in 1895. He was
listed in 1902. He was not listed in 1909. He won a box of cigars
in a 1915 shooting competition.

S.E. McCreedy was a bottler in
Providence. Another bottle I could not find any information on.

Thomas McGuire & Son-
Thomas McGuire (1823-1898) & son
(also Thomas McGuire, 1851-1922) were liquor dealers in Riverpoint,
RI. Thomas was born in Ireland in 1823. He established a livery in
Arctic in 1870. Thomas McGuire was listed as a liquor dealer from
1879-1880. His son joined him in 1881. One article stated they were
in the soda bottling business since 1883. They were listed as liquor
dealers from 1881-1898. An 1884 ad stated they were bottlers of
aromatic ginger ale, carbonated waters, and John Kress New York Lager
Beer. In 1890 they ran a hack, livery, and sale stable. They were
listed as bottlers from 1890-1898.
Thomas was listed as a liquor dealer
alone in 1899-1901, and Charles was listed in Arctic. Charles A.
McGuire was listed as a liquor dealer in 1900. They were listed
again in 1902-1917. Thomas was listed by himself in 1917-19.

McKenna Bros.-
The McKenna Bros. were bottlers in
Providence. George, James, and Frank McKenna were bottlers at 54
Eagle St. in 1887-1893. They sold mineral waters. James was dealing
in liquors as early as 1883 at 951 High St. George was listed as a
teasmster in 1886. They were at 56 Eagle St. in 1892. They were
listed as selling liquors at 529 Manton Ave., and as bottlers at 54
Eagle St. in 1893. Also liquors at Atwells Ave. jct. Harris St. in
1895. It was 53 Eagle St. in 1894-97. Their main address became 521
Atwells Ave. in 1898, but they were still at Eagle St. as well. They
were at cor. Harris and Atwells Ave in 1895. They were still at 54
Eagle St. at this time, bottling soda. They were at 434 Harris Ave.
in 1897-98. The address changed to 521 Atwells Ave., and remained
the same from 1896-1920. An address of 529 Atwells Ave. was given in
1898. They also dealt in liquors at this time. Frank died in May
1920. George W. and James H. were listed as working as the McKenna
Bros. in 1921, but the company was not listed anywhere. George moved
to Thornton in 1923.
