1935-1943 it was at 2 Andover St. Mrs. Andrew Mellnick was the owner
from 1935-37. Andrew Mellnick was the owner in 1938-39. Annie
Mellnick was the owner in 1940-43. It was at 6 Andover Ave. in 1941.

The Modox Mfg. Co. was in Providence.
It was at 17 & 19 Mathewson St. in 1904-05. It was at 17
Mathewson St. in 1906-07. James S. Barry was the proprietor. He was
formerly listed as a salesman in 1901. Frederick B. Thatcher
patented the design for the Modox bottle in 1905. A 1906 factory
inspection graded the company as good with 16 employees. The company
was previously known as the Nickel Tone Mfg. Co., which was last
listed in 1906. It was at 233 W. Exchange St. in 1908-09. In 1909
they lost a lawsuit against Moxie, and had to grind the Modox name
off all of their bottles. That same year the company became the
Herb-O Phosa Co.

N. Molter’s Sons (Henry T. & John
N.) were listed as brewers in 1889 at 14-20 Potter St., and had a
saloon at Dorrance Cor. Pine St. They were at 14-20 Potters Ave.
from 1892-1895.

Moose Head Beverages-
The Moose Head Beverages Co. was
located in Providence. It succeeded Turbitt & Co. in 1936. It
was incorporated in 1935. Larry Gomes was the president in 1936.
Mary Gomes was the owner in 1937. Mary Gomes was the president, and
Anthony H. Gomes the treasurer/ manager in 1938-1943. In 1936-39 it
was at 119 Gano St. It was at 30 Sheldon St. in 1940-1951. Ralph A.
York was the owner in 1945-1950. They were bottling 7-Up in 1944.
This was the old location of the Puritan Bottling Co.

Moren & Sullivan-
Anthony A. Moren (1898-195?) and Daniel
J. Sullivan were bottlers in Bristol, RI. They succeeded the
bottling business of the Morris Bros. in 1930. Later they bottled
spring water from the Echo Spring. In 1930-33 they were at 300
Thames St. Sullivan left the company in 1934, and Anthony renamed
the company Echo Spring. In 1936 the company was listed as Echo
Spring, formerly Moren & Sullivan. It was still located at 300
Thames St. The Echo Spring Bottling Co. was first listed in 1935 at
the same address. Moren & Sullivan were still listed as bottlers
at this address. Anthony died betweeen 1950-54.
