We have a bottle embossed Eugene Marcotte listed on the LRBC website. We apologize for the deception, further research revealed it is actually from Taunton, Mass.
Samuel & James Marlor-
Samuel & James (1821-1879?) Marlor
were bottlers in Providence. They sold mineral waters. In 1852-54
Samuel was listed as a veterinary surgeon, and In 1856 they were
bottling porter and cider at cor. Pine St. and Butler’s gangway.
In 1857 James was listed as a brewer at 3 Pierce St. Another Samuel
Marlor was listed as a veterinary surgeon in 1856-1861. I cannot
find a relation. They were not listed in 1853-54.

Amos Marshall-
Amos Marshall (1824-?) (1828-1899) was
a bottler in Woonsocket. He moved from England to Woonsocket in
1858, and worked in the mills there. He started a mineral water
business in 1877. He was first listed in 1880. He was at rear 24 S.
Main St. in 1880-81. He was at rear 26 S. Main St. in 1886-87. He
was at rear 30 River Rd. in 1887-1891. He was at 30 River St. in
1892. He was at rear 38 River St. in 1893-97. He was at 38 River
St. from 1892-95. He was last listed in 1900. He was succeeded by
Frank Batchelor. He married Sarah Batchelor.

John T. Martin (1835-1921) was a liquor
dealer in Newport. He was first listed in 1878. He was on Lee Ave.
cor. Thames. He was on Thames St., cor Holland in 1881. He was
listed as a grocer in 1888-89. He was listed in 1892. He was at 338
and 558 Thames St. in 1894. Bottler in 1894. He was at 558 Thames
St. (cor. Lee Ave.) from 1889-1904.

Martins Soda Works-
Martins Soda Works was located in
Woonsocket. It succeeded the Eureka Bottling Works in 1931. It was
at 434 Rathbun St. in 1931-1946. Horace Martin (1894-1966) was
living at 436 Rathbun St. in 1931. He founded the company in 1931.
They were bottling Orange Kist in 1940-44. It was at 444 Rathbun St.
in 1947-49. It was at rear 444 Rathbun St. in 1950-1960. In 1952
they were bottling Squirt. It was not listed in 1961-62. It was
back at the same address in 1963-68 as Martins Soda Works, Inc. It
was not listed in 1969.
